About

Welcome has been providing services to assist the settlement of migrants in Tasmania since 1982.

Our Story

One of the primary objectives of Welcome is to provide practical assistance and guidance to multicultural communities as they settle in Tasmania.

This support may include help with language acquisition, employment opportunities, housing, education, and accessing essential services. Additionally, Welcome serves as a hub for community engagement and networking, offering cultural events, workshops, and information sessions to foster cross-cultural understanding and integration.

Welcome advocates alongside communities, working closely with local government agencies, businesses, and other organisations to address systemic barriers and promote equal opportunities for all residents.

Through a collaborative approach and commitment to diversity and inclusion, Welcome plays a vital role in enriching the social fabric of Northern Tasmania and ensuring that all people feel welcomed and supported in their new home.
